The next morning after Caden went downstairs, Abella groaned in pain easing from the bed.

“Ignoring it last night wasn’t the smartest thing to do,” she murmured to herself. She walked over stiffly to Caden’s desk and sat down in the chair slowly with a sigh.

As she looked down at the desk, the book lying on top caught her attention and she reached for it with a slight frown.

She opened and began to read forgetting all about her back as she read about the first werewolf and the woman he loved but couldn’t be with. It was hitting noon when she finally finished it tears running down her face and her eyes gleamed with sadness for both the wolf and the witch wondering what it meant for her and Caden as she closed the book slowly.
